Radion is a Radiology Information System (RIS) designed for private and group practices. It easily harmonizes administration, management methods, and the creation, storing, requesting, receiving and sending of reports, as well as searching and displaying of images in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
The RIS has several innovative worklists which can be personalized for each user and are continuously adapted. Those working at reception have a global overview of scheduled exams, and each radiologist can consult a list of exams which he/she has been assigned to. On another station, one can view a list of tests that needs to be carried out and what has already occurred.
Protocols are created by a word processing system which offers a highly productive working method with automatic texts, stock phrases and conditional paragraphs. What’s more, it is also possible to enhance this feature with digital dictation or voice recognition technology.
In addition to this, there is a unique mammography module in which doctors can introduce their diagnosis on a relevant form (illustrated on screen) along with images which can be digitally transferred to the control center when deemed necessary.
Data can be exchanged efficiently and effectively with a hospital information system (HIS) through HL7 messages. Implementing this interface depends on the HIS and is customized to specific needs.
